Peeler made 16 of 28 shots, including five of nine from behind the three-point line, and went six for eight at the free throw line. Game was in lawrence against #3 ku. MU trailed by 14 with under 8 minutes to play, and Peeler led all scorers with 24. Then he mounted his one man attack, and would score 19 in the final 8 minutes to finish with 43.

Video of a 1930 MU men's basketball practice. MU was the Big 6 champs in 1930 and it was their first in brand new Brewer Field House. MU finished #7 in the Premo Poll and Marshall Craig was an All American and Wendall Baker would become first Tiger in 8 years to be first team All Conference in back to back seasons.

I was at the game. It was one man against the entire Jayhawks. I remember it clearly. We just cannot put MU away because of one man. Remember we had 15 thousands screaming fans and he pull cold water over us shot after shot. Thanks for the memory. Respect

This guy was amazing and his NBA career wasn't bad either, I was about 14yrs old at this time and I miss this kind of Missouri basketball, I agree retire his jersey.

my name happens to be Anthony lol, that's one of the reasons at the tender age of 12 I liked him but he had one of the prettiest forms in that 00's era. I was crestfallen when LA traded him.
